July Group

The July meeting of paper scissors craft will be going ahead this evening - Monday 12 July.

We will be in the usual spot of Hearsall Baptist Church from 7pm (until 9pm). Cost of £3 to cover the room hire.

Brinklow Paper Scissors Craft Group

Just a quick post to let you know that we will be holding a once monthly Paper Scissors Craft meeting at Brinklow community hall on the last Wednesday of every month 7-9pm, starting on 30th June 2010, this is in addition to our meeting at Hearsall Baptist church on the second Monday of each month 7-9pm.

We wanted to increase the meetings to twice a month, we have done it this way so that one is local to Gemma and one local to myself and also as it's in different areas it may be accessible to a wider group of people depending where you live in or around Coventry/Rugby/Warwickshire.

It's a great chance to get together with fellow crafters and share ideas, hints/tips and just get creative in a friendly environment. Cost is £3 to cover room hire and refreshments (tea/coffee). If you need any further information, then please don't hesitate to contact us. It would be great if you could let us know if you were coming so we have an idea of numbers etc.

Please bring your own projects to work on, all crafters welcome whether you prefer paper crafting, sewing, knitting etc. It would be great to see you there.

May Meeting

Hi! The next meeting of the Paper Scissors Craft group is being held on Monday 10 May from 7.00pm until 9.00pm in the usual place of Hearsall Baptist Church.

Over the next few months we are going to use the meetings to allow everyone to work on their own projects. We realise that the summer months are busy and the couple of hours spent with solid time to craft can really help with completing projects. Last month was a really great meeting with everybody sharing tips and hints and we're keen for that keep going!

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Monday. It will be the usual £3 to cover room hire.

April's meeting

The April meeting is taking place tonight - Monday 12 April, sorry for the late post, it's been a little busy for us at the moment!

We'll be in Hearsall Baptist Church from 7pm, as usual. We run through until 9pm. This month is a 'bring your own' session, so bring something with you to work on that will occupy you for 2 hours! Don't forget to bring your own tools too!

Cost will be £3 to cover room hire.

We hope you all had a lovely Easter and we look forward to sharing some crafting time this evening.

February's Creations

During February's craft meeting we set the group a little challenge - we gave everybody a pack of goodies and asked them to create anything they fancied. The packs contained card, paper, pti glassine bags, brads, ribbon and buttons.

And for a twist - Jan K, Gemma's Mum, is not really a paper crafter but a sewer at heart, so she completed a project she had been working on at home

March craft meeting

At the March meeting we will be talking you through making these Easter baskets if you like. They are simple and fairly quick to make, so please bring your own projects to work on too as they won't take the whole session up.

All that is needed is 6X6 piece of patterned paper or card, a strip of card, small piece of ribbon and embellishments to your liking.

If you need any of the above supplies please email us by Saturday and these can be made available at a small charge. Otherwise cost is £3 as usual for room hire.
