Meetings for 2010.

Well our first meeting of the year went ahead despite the bad weather, it was lovely to see some familiar faces.

Here is a list of the dates for meeting in 2010, we meet the second Monday of every month, but here is a list for your diaries:

Please check back here often as we will post details of any workshops, make and takes etc that we plan to do and will provide a list of what to bring along. For the next meeting in February please just bring a project of your choice to work on.

Recent Weather!

Just a quick message to say Monday's craft group will be going ahead - as Gemma lives on the same road as the Church. But, with weather as it is, please only travel if it is safe to do so. As much as we'd love to see all our crafting buddies we don't want any injuries on the way!

If you can't make it and you get chance please send Gemma a quick text or give her a quick ring on 07920 066 814 just so we don't worry!

January Meeting

Happy New Year to all! We hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year and got time to spend a few days with your loved ones. And may be even a chance to get crafting!

We will be back running the craft group meetings after our December cancellation. The next meeting will be on Monday 11 January from 7.00 - 9.00pm in the usual place at Hearsall Baptist Church. (A car park is a the side of the church.)

We're still able to welcome new members, in fact we hope to see a few new ladies next week! If you want to come and haven't made contact already, drop us an email.

For January's meeting please bring along a project/projects to work on for the evening. In February we hope to have a little tutorial, but more information on that will follow. The cost of the session will again be £3 to cover the room hire.

Any questions before the meeting just let us know. We look forward to the first meeting of the year!

December meeting Cancelled!

Hi all, some news on the December meeting, unfortunately we have had to cancel our meeting in December due to the fact that I am on holiday and that Gemma's grandad has been take ill and Gemma is spending time visiting and caring for him. A worrying time for Gemma and her family as you can imagine. That with all the preparations for Christmas etc it is a very busy time.

We are sorry if this causes any disappointment, we were hoping to see you all before Christmas.

However we will be starting again in January and we will be trying to arrange another monthly meeting in Brinkow.

In the meantime we would like to thank those of you who have joined us for you support and we look forward to seeing you again in the New year.

We would like to wish you all a happy, healthy Christmas and a great New Year.

Next Meeting!

The first meeting of Paper Scissors Craft was held on 12 October and we'd like to say a big thank you to everybody for coming. We really enjoyed our first evening and we hope you did too.

Our next meeting will be on 9 November 7.00 - 9.00pm in the same place at Hearsall Baptist Church - Chapelfields, CV5 (there is a small car park at the side of the church). If you haven't joined us yet but would like to come along please email us at paperscissorscraft@hotmail.co.uk so we can keep a check on numbers.

At the 9 November meeting we will be running a couple of 'make and takes' so you might just learn a new technique! Please bring a basic craft kit with you to use during the make and take (timmer, craft knife, ruler etc). Also bring a project to work on as we may not fill the 2 hours with make and takes alone!

Cost will be £3 to cover room hire.

New Craft Group

In to Crafting?
Want to meet like minded people?
Want some help with techniques or need some new ideas?

Then, this new craft group could be for you!
‘Paper Scissors Craft’ is a new informal friendly craft group that will be meeting every 2nd Monday of each month from 7 – 9pm, at Hearsall Baptist Church (on the corner of Hearsall Lane and Queensland Ave, Chapelfields, CV5) – the first meeting is on 12 October.

This is an opportunity to meet other crafters and to share ideas and inspiration. There will be refreshments provided, all levels of crafter welcome!

There will also be occasional workshops/make and takes etc. For more information please keep checking this blog.

Cost is £3 per session to cover room hire. Workshops will cost more but these will be advertised in advanced (materials will be supplied at workshops). Bring your own craft supplies and a project to work on for the first meeting.
